Adamawa: PDP stakeholders rally support for Ribadu

(NIGERIA) Ahead of the forthcoming February general elections in Adamawa State, stakeholders of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state have united to rally round the candidature of Malam Nuhu Ribadu to ensure his victory at the polls.

The PDP, stakeholders promised to give Ribadu all necessary support that will give him a land mark victory.

The party stakeholder made the disclosure during Ribadu’s thank you visit to Jada and Genye Local Government Areas of the state.

Ribadu who is touring the 21 local government areas of the state in appreciation of the mandate given to him by his party was promised by various PDP stalwarts who spoke during his rally held at Jada Local Government Areas of the state that they have put all necessary machinery on ground to deliver him.

According to the party stakeholders who spoke separately at the rally, they will work hard in order that Ribadu will have a landslide victory, stressing that Ribadu is the candidate that can bring development to the people of the state.

Those who spoke included the candidates of the party for House of Representatives, House of Assembly candidates for Ganye/Toungo / Jada/ Mayo Belwa and Nassarawo- Koma and Jada -Mbulo State Constituencies respectively. In their separate speeches, they assured Ribadu of a resounding victory in the February governorship election in the state.

Alhaji Umar Bello, who is the candidate of the party for Jada/ Ganye/ Toungo / Federal Constituency, assured Ribadu of the Jada electorate’s votes in the scheduled February election and the result would be resounding victory for Ribadu and all the PDP candidates standing for the general elections.

He noted that Ribadu was urged to vie for the governorship ticket of the party by prominent figures from Jada Local Government because of his track record of service and was seen to be a governorship material, whose credibility and administrative expertise is globally acknowledged.

Bello said that Ribadu’s contest was nursed and hatched in Jada which is fundamentally a PDP area and that they would not renege in making sure that PDP emerges victorious in all elective posts to be contested for by the candidates of the ruling PDP in February.

Other PDP candidates from the area that spoke at the occasion also assured Ribadu and all the PDP candidates of resounding victory at the polls next February.

Also speaking, Senator Jonathan Silas Zwingina, who is the PDP senatorial candidate for Adamawa South District, promised to look into the plight of the people of the area if elected, and to attract federal presence.

Ribadu also paid a similar thank you visit to neighbouring Mayo Belwa Local Gocvernment where thousands of supporters also came to welcome him at Islamiya Primary School.

Ribadu who spoke during what he called a thank you visit to the area told the PDP supporters that Jada has been his second home, hence the need for him to pick his deputy from the zone as well as placing some prominent Jada indigenes in the present administration.

He promised the people of the area that if voted into office, he would accord more recognition and place the people of the area in more lucrative positions in the state to enable them address the past political menace inflicting the state.

Meanwhile, some prominent politicians who spoke applauded the candidature of Ribadu and vouched for his credibility and assured him of a landslide victory in the February poll.
