2015 poll: The Pastor Tunde Bakare's blunder

I find it difficult to see, the reason why prominent clergymen in Nigeria cannot restrict themselves to the tenet of the pupil God has called them to watch over.

It remains a shock to me, when it got to my knowledge, that eminent preacher and senior pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Tunde Bakare suggested that the 2015 election be postponed and a transitional government formed to tackle fundamental problems facing Nigeria.

He even warned, that danger looms ahead for Nigeria if his suggestion was not carried out.

Specifically, Bakare who was the vice presidential candidate of the dead Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in 2011, had maintained that Nigeria was at war, citing  Section 135 (3) of the 1999 Constitution to back up his position.

My quarrel remains that calls by the prominent pastor cannot be the solution geared towards putting an end to the challenges raised by him which included; the recent Boko Haram attack on a military base in Baga, Borno State, wondering why some Nigerians are saying that
Nigeria was not in a state of war.

I do not believe that the country is in a state of war. Rather, what I see is that those who are enemies of this country are behind the many killing that have plagued Nigeria.

What I expect people like Pastor Bakare to do is continue praying for Nigeria, because that is where their calling lies.
