I watched with amazement today, Nigeria's opposition political party; the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign in Abeaokuta, Ogun State where former Lagos State governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu threw decorum into the air and decided to unleash insolence on the presidency, led by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Specifically, he used words such as; the ruling Peoples Democratic Party is crazy, Jonathan is incompetent, PDP is a thief and a host of others.
But I want to state categorically clear, that the fact that Nigeria is in an electioneering mood, should not give politicians the inpudence to use words that are derogatory on other political actors.
I expect people like Tinubu to show good example in their choice of language. It is not in doubt, that Tinubu is held in high esteem by his political colleagues, and that is the reason why I see it that, he should show a lot of decorum in his conducts as the presidential campaigns continue.
Though, I understand that politicians will normally do everything to ensure that their own wins, they should instead embark on campaign of ideas and not of insolence.
What the electorates want to hear is what agenda you have for them as you assume office and not insults.
