Any right thinking person, would normally welcome the intention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to ensure that Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) in the country are not disenfranchised in the forth coming February, 2015 elections.
This is a further confirmation, that the electoral body is doing everything to ensure, that every matured person in Nigeria is not denied the right to decide who to rule the country for the next four years.
However, the fears are if the commission would be given the opportunity to carryout this intention.
The decision to get this done emanated from INEC's daily bulletin in Abuja today.
It would be recalled that the commission had about two months ago
organised a roundtable to discuss IDPs participation in the electoral process.
According to INEC, "Experts and academics generated brilliant ideas to address the issue of the IDPs which were submitted to the commission.
"Thereafter, the commission set up a Task Force on how to get the IDPs to vote within the ambit of the extant laws."
