Justice J.T Tsoho of a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos has ordered the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah to stop any planned arrest of National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The court also stopped Minimah from detaining,   harassing or intimidating Tinubu pending the hearing and determination of the Motion Experte brought before the court dated and filed on March 24, 2015.

The judge granted the order after entertaining arguments on the motion exparte filed by Femi Falana (SAN) on behalf of Tinubu.

Specifically, Justice Tsoho restrained the Chief of Army Staff, his privies, agents and servants from preventing the APC National Leader from participating in the 2015 general election.

The army boss alongside his privies, agents and servant are equally stopped from laying siege on Tinubu’s home situated at number 26, Bourdillon Street, Ikoyi, Lagos pending the determination of a motion on notice filed against the defendant.

It would be recalled that Tinubu had gone to court on March 25, 2015 through his lawyer, praying the court for the  enforcement of his fundamental human rights.

The matter has been adjourned till March 31, 2015.
