The Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Al-Makura has called on ibos resident in the state, not to move out from the state before, during and after the forthcoming general elections.
The governor spoke through his Special Adviser on National Integration, Chief Ezedinma Chukwunonso when members of the Ibo Community Association paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Lafia.
The governor revealed that adequate security had been put in place to ensure their safety.
He also charged them to remain peaceful with their host community as well as ensure tolerance and understanding for the development of the state.
The governor called on the Ibo residents to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them vote for candidates of their choice.
In responding, a member of the group, Uche Nwosu assured the governor’s aide of the continuous support of Ibo people in the state for the state government policies and programmes.
