Speaker of Nigeria's House of Assembly, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, today gave an assurance that the forthcoming general elections slated to commence from March 28, 2015 would be peaceful, free and fair.
Speaking at a town hall meeting initiated by the Justice Development and Peace Commission of the Catholic Diocesse of Sokoto, Tambuwal said, "The elections will be successful and free and nobody should flee any part of the country because of the forthcoming polls.
"Nigerians must continue to have confidence in themselves and trust each other."
The Speaker who is the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, expressed determination to sustain the legacies of Governor Aliyu Wamakko, if elected.
Tambuwal also called on eligible voters in the state to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and guard them jealously.
