76% OF PVCs DISTRIBUTED, INEC REVEALS

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), today made known that the number of Nigerians that have collected their Permanent Voter Cards is now 52,419,495.

This revelation was made known by Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Chairman of INEC, Kayode Idowu, with an addition that the figure
represented 76.15 per cent of 68,833,476 registered voters.

According to him, "The update I have with me now is for February 18 and it is 52,419,495 (76.15%)."

Besides, the CPS also explained that card readers would be deployed in 152,031 polling units across the country during the March 28 and April 11 elections, with an addition that the commission had procured 26,000 extra card readers.
