Nigeria's Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), was today charged by a group under the umbrella of
Ominira Yoruba Apapo (OYA), Oodua Democratic Coalition (ODC) and Coalition for Yoruba Autonomy (COYA), to explain to Nigerians the modalities
through which people in North East, collected their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) than in South West, South South and South East.
Addressing a press conference in Ikeja, the group also lambasted the electoral commission's position that those in the war zone area in the country have collected
their PVC than other part of the country.
The group represented by Morgan Omodu, Razaq Oladosu from Oodua Democratic Coalition and Ambassador Kunle Adesokan from COYA argued, "We are fully supporting the postponement of the general elections. It will prevent INEC under Proffessor Jega from compromising the elections.
"INEC has long seize to be a disinterested umpire in this election. The evidence is now overwhelming that INEC is determined to bias the election in favour of the opposition party which incidentally, her presidential candidate come from same zone as the INEC Chairman.
"This is evident in INEC's determination to initially go ahead with elections in spite of the fact that out of the 68 million registered voters, over 20 million have yet to receive their PVCs."
