FHC CJ, others to attend NAJUC seminar

Lagos branch of the National Association of Judicial Correspondents (NAJUC), yesterday revealed that Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta alongside Managing Director (MD) of Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Mustafa Chike-Obi are among dignitaries expected to attend the 2014 annual workshop of the association.
According to a statement jointly signed by Chairman and Secretary of NAJUC, Tunde Opeseitan and Olugbenga Soyele respectively, the two-day event will start on Thursday, July 10, 2014 with free medical check-up and discussion on healthy living for NAJUC members at the Press Centre of Lagos High Court, Igbosere.
The association posited further that the main seminar will take place on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Function Room of Muson Centre, Lagos by 10am prompt. The statement revealed further that the Director of Lagos Multi-Door CourtHouse, Caroline Etuk will be on hand to lecture NAJUC members on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and its branches, while a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Godwin Obla will educate NAJUC members on "Prosecutorial Powers: Limits, Challenges And The Role Of The Media."
The AMCON MD will deliver a lecture on the law governing the operations of the agency.
Another SAN, who also doubled as NAJUC Patron, Chief Felix Fagbohungbe will serve as the special guest at the workshop.
The statement further pointed out that Lagos State Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Deji Elumoye would be on hand to present awards to Justice Auta and Chief Fagbohungbe for their respective positive contributions to the administration of Justice in Nigeria.
According to the statement, "Some former members of the association, who have since become editors in their respective organisations would also be honoured for their contributions to the development of the association.
