(NIGERIA) The Enugu State House of Assembly this morning
commenced impeachment process against Deputy Governor of the state, Sunday
Onyebuchi. This is because the assembly
mandated its Clerk, Christopher Chukwurah to serve the Deputy Governor Impeachment
notice.
It was gathered that the motion was moved in a session which
barely lasted for one hour and presided over by the Speaker, Eugene Odoh.
The sack motion and notice were endorsed by 22 of the 24
legislators. However, a member representing Aninri State Constituency, Hon.
Mathias did not support the motion as he refused to sign the six-page document
sponsored by the House leader, Udeh Okoye.
