| Chukwuma Nwazunku |
(NIGERIA) Members of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly this
morning sent parking its Speaker, Chukwuma Nwazunku. He has been replaced by
Helen Nwaobasi representing Abakaliki South state constituency.
Eni Uduma Chima representing Afikpo South West moved the
motion for the election of Hon Helen Nwaobasi representing Abakaliki South
state constituency and same was seconded by Jerry Obasi.
18 out of the 24 members of the Assembly reportedly voted
out the Speaker. It was gathered that Frank Onwe moved the motion for the
Speaker’s impeachment, which was seconded by the minority leader, Enyi C. Enyi.
The members lifted the suspension of the three members namely:
Frank Onwe, Eni Uduma Chime and deputy speaker, Hon Blaise Orji before
impeaching their speaker.
