Federal High Court CJ, others bags award




Lagos branch of the National Association of Judicial Correspondents (NAJUC), yesterday conferred what it termed the distinguished service award on the Chief Judge (CJ) of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Auta and some former members of the association who have been elevated to the position of news editors in their various media organisations.
The affected news editors includes; Alhaji Sina Aiyekoti (The Sun), Mr Kayode Matthew (Vanguard), Tony Amokeodo (Leadership newspaper), and Mr Davidson Iriekpen (Thisday). They were honoured at the 2014 seminar/award ceremony organised by the association, held at the Muson centre, Lagos.
Shortly after receiving the award, Justice Auta described the development as a motivation to all judges across the country to always be at their best.
The CJ stated that the honour will strengthen the good relationship between the courts and NAJUC, in order to make justice delivery more effective in the country.
