(NIGERIA) The deputy governor of Adamawa State, Bala
Ngilari, has resigned his position in the heat of the ongoing impeachment saga
in the state.
The state governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy have been
facing impeachment proceedings over allegation of corruption and mismanagement
of public funds.
The speaker of the Assembly, Umaru Fintiri, read Mr
Ngilari’s resignation letter at the plenary of the state house of assembly and
the letter was immediately approved by the lawmakers.
