The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), today maintained that President Goodluck Jonathan’s conceding to defeat in the March 28 Presidential election, " Saved Nigeria from political chaos and violence.
Specifically, PFN President, Reverend Felix Omobude, gave commendation to the president for enabling a peaceful election.
The clergy insisted that President Jonathan's action was a true demonstration of sportsmanship in the interest of the country.
According to a statement signed by Reverend Omobude, he congratulated the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari over his victory in the March 28, 2015 presidential poll.
He said, "The PFN shares in your aspiration to move Nigeria forward and hope that with the support of Nigerians, we can together build a strong, virile and united nation where no one is oppressed.
"We commend President Jonathan for his courage and spirit of sportsmanship in accepting the outcome of the elections. This has saved the nation from political chaos and violence.
"The PFN call on all Nigerians to continue to maintain peace and order and engage in things that will unite us and strengthen our democratic values."
