CNC drums support for Ambode, Other APC Candidates

Deputy Commandant-General, Course of Nigeria Commissioners (CNC), retired Colonel Fola Akande, yesterday revealed that the group had commenced what he termed house-to-house campaign for All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Local Development Councils in Lagos State.

He added that the move became imperative consequent upon the below performance of the APC in the last Presidential Election in the state.

Speaking during the inauguration of the house-to-house programme, retired Colonel Akande charged   interested members and their friends from all ethnic groups in the state to embark on the house-to-house campaign for the success of APC candidates at the poll.

According to him, "I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governors Rotimi Amechi , Rochas Okorocha, Lagos State APC Chairman, Chief Henry Ajomale, Chief Sunny Ajose and all other party stalwarts across the federation that work round the clock for the success of the party at the last Presidential election.

"They should not rest on their oars until all candidates of the party emerge victorious in forthcoming governorship election and house of assembly.

"Change is needed only when a system is not working. The system that is working only need adjustment to improve upon, and upgraded to make it more efficient. In Lagos we have been an opposition party for 16years and we cannot afford to toll the line of opposition again, especially when APC now controls Federal government.

"The margin of winning by APC in the last presidential election is too small. Hence, there is need for us to pull our resources together so that APC government in Lagos state will benefit from government at the centre which we have been clamouring for in the last 16years.

"I will also suggest to the Chairman of the party in the state to advice all LCDA officials to replicate the company of house-to-house campaign which we are doing at their domains.

"They should educate the electorates on why Lagos state must not fall into the hand of opposition again! We must win forthcoming election with landslide to consolidate good work of past administration of Tinubu and Fashola in Lagos State."
