The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ishielu Local Government Area (LGA) of Ebonyi State, Mr. Emeka Nworie has been shot dead alongside a middle aged man, Mr. Mike Ojor in Ikwo Nnoyo in Ikwo LGA by yet to be identified gunmen in the early hours of today.Sources said the mastermind of the murder are thugs allegedly loyal to an opposition political party in the state. Information has it that the charman was attacked in his house in Ezzagu in Ishielu LGA and shot several times by his assailants.
In confirming the development, the state Police spokesman, ASP Chris Anyanwu maintained that the assailants before killing the PDP stalwart asked for money which was generously given to them but still went ahead to kill their victim.
