Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN) would like to congratulate President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan over his nomination as the Presidential standard bearer for his party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the next year presidential election.
This nomination did not come to us as a surprise, hence his first term high flying performance did attract even world leaders to Nigeria to emulate quality leadership skills and the best of good governance, particularly on his dogged fight against Ebola crisis.
While we congratulate him for his nomination, we also congratulate him for his anticipated victory on February 14th 2015 Presidential election that would be landslide by God's grace, hence the opposition party has nominated an anachronistic, retrogressive and ineffective candidate to the nations 21st Century needs.
A candidate that is unable to point to one tangible thing he did for himself, his village, his town or his state, decades after leaving office, be it on Education, Economy, Health or any Social cause. Translating, he has nothing to offer himself, his domain and talk-less of offering to a nation of about 200 million people.
We believe that the opposition candidate was solely nominated for the purpose of trading with him and his unenlightened followers as a decoy in retaining Lagos State and some parts of South-West as a personal Empire.
It is unimaginable that a candidate who claims to have what it takes to tackle corruption, is being sponsored by those, Nigerians knew as being neck deep into corruption.
We urge all Nigerians to join hands with a true democrat, a civilian per excellence and a listening and humble president in the person of Goodluck Jonathan to flush out these undemocratic elements throughout out the nation with our votes, so as to give democracy the full right of way and a rebirth of a new Nigeria.
Ndigbo Cultural Society of Nigeria (NCSN) would like to reassure President Goodluck Jonathan of our block vote come February 14th 2015, as there is no comparison between light and darkness.
