Former Osun governor, wife losses at polling units





Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, former Governor of Osun State, and his wife today lost to the rival political party, the PDP at their polling units in Okuku.

The result at the ward indicated that the PDP scored 125 while the APC got 61.

At 008 where his wife voted, the PDP got 105 while the APC garnered 41.

Some of the supporters of the former governor said his supporters in the PDP had “been settled by the PDP. So, we couldn’t defect with him.”

“We kept on asking whether we should defect to the APC.

“But he was assuring us that we should remain in PDP. But by the time he was going to defect, we have been settled by the PDP, so we couldn’t defect.”
